M'Ingles

M’Ingles is s social group for Mature Singles. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month for restaurant outings, chats at home, theme nights, movies and other activities.

A small group of us from Brighton Church of Christ and Brighton Christian Church started the group two years ago. Since then we have seen a fair number of movies together, eaten at about a dozen restaurants, had several “Dinner and DVD” nights, two murder parties, an origami night, Christmas in July, a couple of pool parties, a port and chocolate night, and some hilarious discussions.

Our aim is to create a relaxed and non-threatening environment in which mature singles can make new friends. Whilst most of the current members are Christian, it is not meant to be a “Christians-only” group. In fact, it is a safe place for non-Christian visitors to get to know what we believe and stand for.

We don’t really have an age guideline, but chances are that people will fit in best if they are over 30 years old and still working. Sometimes the group is very small, with perhaps only three or four people catching up. Other weeks, we can have twelve or more there. We are expecting numbers to grow as we start sharing the details of the group with more people.
