On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit visited the early Christian church and imparted spiritual gifts, empowering believers to endure persecution and to preach the Gospel. That small group of Jesus’ followers has grown to number in excess of 1 Billion worldwide. Even although Christianity remains the most persecuted religion in the world today, it is growing at a rate of 200,000 per day.

As a mark of respect for the work of the Holy Spirit, we have called our pre-Church prayer service, “Kindling the Flame”. Everyone is welcome to join us at 9.45 am as we ask for the flame of love for our Lord Jesus Christ to be alight in our hearts, our worship and our lives and that through the revival power of the Holy Spirit, God’s gift of hope, healing and eternal life will go out to all people in our community and nation.
